SHOW INFO
SCHERZO FANTASTIQUE
REPERTORY DANCE THEATRE
Scherzo Fantastique is an RDT commission created in honor of the company’s 60th Anniversary, receiving its world premiere in November 2025. Sparked by the mundane act of standing and sitting in an office chair, the work uses chairs as props throughout as the dancers navigate Suk’s exuberant, rhythmically shifting score in search of light and hope amid darker moments of grief and loss.

THE RATE WE CHANGE
RIRIE WOODBURY DANCE COMPANY
The Rate We Change is an innovative, collaborative performance featuring six dancers, a human-powered spinning platform, and composer Daniel Clifton. This work embodies the metaphor of evolving, ongoing change within our dynamic world. The work sheds light on the nature of embracing instability to find stability, summoning courage to cultivate patience, and exerting effort to attain a sense of ease. Through the intricate weaving of roles and collective attention, the performance showcases the potential for adaptation through interconnectedness.
PROCESSIONAL
BALLET WEST
Processional takes its inspiration from the Paris Opera Ballet's grand défilé, a centuries-old ceremony in which the company's dancers appear on stage in a sweeping parade. Struck by the revelation that a trained ballet dancer can transform something as simple as a walk into a moment of pure artistry, choreographer Donald Byrd builds from that most elemental movement outward, offering an intimate glimpse into the individual artistry of each dancer.
