PARK CITY MAGAZINE | LET'S DANCE
In April, Ballet West’s sixth annual Spring Soirée exceeded fundraising records, raising $550,000 to support scholarships for students at the Frederick Quinney Lawson Ballet West Academy. The sold-out gala featured a lush garden-like setting by Fuse Weddings & Events, with dinner on the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre stage. Live performances included the premiere of principal artist Emily Adams’ Before the Goodbye, danced by Amy Potter and Hadriel Diniz, in honor of Potter, who concluded her professional dancing career at the close of the 2025-26 season. The program also presented a premiere of Analog 13 by former Ballet West artist Joshua Whitehead, performed by Ballet West II company members.
Ballet West Academy has grown to become one of the largest ballet academies in the country, serving nearly 1,000 students annually across four locations, including the Peggy Bergmann Park City Campus.
