Ballet West Announces Erika Stone as Senior Director of External Affairs
Ballet West announces the appointment of Erika Stone as Senior Director of External Affairs. Stone brings a unique combination of artistic and administrative expertise to the role.
"I am thrilled to be joining the Ballet West family and to be working alongside such a talented and dedicated team," said Stone. "As someone who has spent much of my career both onstage as well as behind the scenes, it is deeply gratifying to be part of an organization so committed to artistic excellence and community connection."
Stone holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston University and a Master of Arts in Communication from Southern Utah University. Her professional journey began in Los Angeles as an actor before relocating to Juneau, Alaska, where she was cast in Vera Starbard's Our Voices Will Be Heard, directed by Larissa FastHorse, at Perseverance Theatre.
She subsequently served at Perseverance first as Development Director and then as Director of Marketing while continuing to perform. Her most recent stage appearances include Gloria: A Life, written by Emily Mann, performed at McCarter Theatre Center under Mann’s direction, and at American Repertory Theater, directed by Diane Paulus.
Prior to joining Ballet West, Stone served as Marketing Director for the Noorda Center for the Performing Arts and the School of the Arts at Utah Valley University.
“Erika brings to Ballet West a strong background in building audiences as well as fundraising,” said Ballet West Executive Director Michael Scolamiero. “Combined with her passion for the arts, we are confident that she will continue to increase revenue and provide the resources Ballet West’s requires to remain a nationally acclaimed arts organization.”
Ballet West extends its gratitude to outgoing Senior Director of External Affairs Andrew Goldberg, who is now serving as Executive Director with Memphis Ballet.
