Joined Ballet West: 2025

Kyra Stafford was raised in Salt Lake City, UT. She grew up training in all styles of dance at the Collective Performing Arts Center in Draper. She received her classical training from her mom, Eunice Stafford and Chris Young.  In 2020, she joined Ballet West Academy as a PTD. The following year, Kyra went on to further her training at San Francisco Ballet School under the direction of Patrick Armand. During her time in the school, she performed with the company in Swan Lake and danced corps roles in Tomasson’s The Nutcracker. 

In 2021 and 2022 Kyra trained at Juilliard’s Summer Dance Intensive where she became versed in modern dance styles and trained with Alicia Graf Mack and Mario Zambrano. She then danced as a trainee at the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago, and joined their Studio Company the following year. At Joffrey, she performed in Marston’s Atonement, Wheeldon’s The Nutcracker, and Ekman’s Midsummer Night’s Dream. She joined the main company of Ballet West in 2025. Kyra enjoys teaching and choreographing, and is happy to be home in Salt Lake City.
