Dominic Ballard

Dominic Ballard is from Albury, New South Wales, Australia. He joined Ballet West in 2017 and was promoted to Demi-Soloist in 2022. Dominic trained at the Australian Ballet School in Melbourne, Australia. He began his professional ballet career in Europe with the National Ballet of Slovakia before joining the Philadelphia Ballet in 2016. Some of Dominic’s favorite leading roles he’s performed with Ballet West include Prince Gremin in Cranko’s Onegin, “Rubric” in Robbins’ Glass Pieces, Baron Von Rothbart in Sklute’s Swan Lake, and Fonte’s Carmina Burana, to name just a few. Dominic received his earliest training in ballet from his mother, stepfather, and older sister. Outside of dancing, Dominic loves reading and trying his hand at various arts and crafts including crochet.
