Tomorrow is the opening of our historic 60th Anniversary Season! We spoke with Ballet West Principal Artist Jenna Rae Herrera about how she approached the character of Svetlana differently this time than she did two years ago.
"It has been such a joy revisiting the role of Svetlana! When I first performed this role two years ago, I was so focused on mastering the tricky partnering and choreography, whereas this time around, I’ve been able to explore the deeper aspects of my character’s story and emotions. I can’t wait to get back on stage and experience this wonderful ballet all over again!”
