Jake Preece is from Vancouver, Canada.  He joined Ballet West II in 2016 and was promoted to the main company in 2019, and then to Demi-Soloist in 2022.  At age thirteen, Jake began his training at Goh Ballet Academy in Vancouver, British Columbia, and then at age sixteen, Jake was offered a scholarship to train at The School of American Ballet in New York City.  He continued his training in Pacific Northwest Ballet School’s Professional Division in Seattle, Washington.  With Ballet West, Jake has danced leading roles in Sklute’s Giselle and Swan Lake, Cranko’s Onegin, and Balanchine’s Prodigal Son, among others.
