Downtown Salt Lake City is in for a major face-lift to be completed in 2011. The project named City Creek Center will encompass 20 acres right in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City
As you already know Ballet West’s home is the Capitol Theatre. Recently the space to the west of the Capitol was cleared to make room for our new headquarters. Our day to day operations are already based in the theatre building but five new studios will be added for the Company and Academy and our Costume Shop will join us at the Capitol. The lobby of the theatre will be expanded amongst other changes.

Not to correct you, but the space that was cleared for the new headquarters is on the West of the theatre, not the East.

As a ballet master for the company I am probably not the best qualified to help you.
I do know that we will have many wonderful studios and the whole organization will be under one roof.
I know that in these days when companies are cutting orchestras and even closing their doors our wonderful board is working very hard to make sure this does not happen here. And, Adam Sklute says that we are in a good place with our fundraising for the new building.
