The Ballet West Ambassadors are a group of Salt Lake area business professionals who donate their time and talents to the Ballet in an effort to cultivate corporate and individual support for the Ballet. They are representatives of Ballet West in the business community who are charged with the task of relaying the message that Ballet West is a vital tool in promoting economic development and growth as a community. The goal of the Ambassadors is to create a forum in which the business community and the cultural arts community can come together and mutually benefit each other.

The objectives of the Ballet West Ambassadors are:
- To obtain financial support for new works to be presented on our home stage at the Capitol Theatre.

- To educate business organizations and individuals about the contributions Ballet West makes to the local community, as well as the services we provide in an effort to strengthen the community and foster its growth.

- To cultivate support for Ballet West from local businesses as well as individuals.

- To promote Ballet West by providing educational, entertaining and enjoyable programs to increase involvement from community.

- To assist the Ballet in maintaining financial stability that ultimately allows Ballet West to continue and grow.

Length of Service:
Ambassadors generally serve a term of 3 years. Many organizations who support Ballet West assign an employee to be an Ambassador and once their term is up, they replace the individual with someone new. The term is served in conjunction with our fiscal year, which is July 1, through June 30 of each calendar year.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS:

- Annual Dues of $150
- Ballet West Ambassadors are expected to participate in the Ballet West events we are in charge of and are encouraged to support all Ballet West events, including the annual Gala.
- Encourage your place of business to support Ballet West through general sponsorship, in-kind donations, or event sponsorship.
- Attend monthly meetings which are determined by the group in July/August of each year. Meetings will last approximately 1 hour. Please give notice if you are unable to attend.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of annual Ambassadors Tribute to Business. This includes but is not limited to assisting with stuffing invitations, set-up on the evening of the event, obtaining sponsorship and silent auction items, etc.
- Assist in the planning and implementation of Curtain Up. This includes assisting with getting the invitations out and inviting people personally to attend, set-up of the event and general oversight of the evening.
- Support the Ballet West Boutique by volunteering to work at various performances throughout the season.

In addition to the information above, Ambassadors are expected to support other Ballet West events throughout the year when they are able by purchasing tickets, inviting friends and business relations to attend free events and encouraging others to get involved with the Ballet through volunteer opportunities, sponsorships, and in-kind donations. Ballet West relies on the generosity of individuals and businesses within the community to continue to provide high quality productions, and stellar education and outreach programs. Through our Ambassadors we are able to reach a wide array of people, helping us to create a diverse base of patrons and supporters.
