Admissions

The summer program is designed for students 12-26 years at intermediate or advanced levels. Class placement is based on the technical needs of each student and is determined by the faculty. Any adjustments to class placement will be given during the first week of each session of the program.

The dates for the Summer Intensive are:
2 Four Week Sessions: June 10 to July 7, 2012 & July 8 to August 4, 2012
Full eight-week session: June 10 to August 4, 2012

Because space is limited, students are urged to apply early. 

How to Apply for the Summer Intensive

There are 4 steps involved in completing your online application.  Click here to review the Audition Tour dates and locations before you complete any of the following steps:

1.  Click here to add the $25 nonrefundable application fee to your cart.

2.   You will be redirected to a log in page.  If you already have a username and password, enter them now. If you do not have a username and password, click on the tab that reads "create an account." 

3.   Then you will be redirected to the online application. 

Please note: Please submit photos which will be used in consideration for acceptance into the program.  The photos need to be of side view arabesque (women en pointe, men en releve) and tendu a la seconde en face.  Photos may be submitted via email to academy@balletwest.org or by mail to: Ballet West Academy, 50 West 200 South, Salt Lake City, UT  84101.

4.   After you have entered your payment information and have completed the check out, you will receive, by email, an electronic receipt.  If you are attending an in-person audition, please print the receipt and bring it with you.
