MICHAEL BEARDEN - Searcy, Arkansas

Michael joined Ballet West in 1999 as an artist and, in 2004, advanced to the rank of soloist. He began his ballet training with Ballet Arkansas under the tutelage of Kirt Hathaway and continued training at the University of Utah Department of Ballet. Before joining Ballet West in 1999, he performed with Ballet Arkansas and Tulsa Ballet. He has performed in many roles including Prince Florimund in Jonas Kåge's The Sleeping Beauty, Phlegmatic in George Balanchine's The Four Temperaments, Sugar Plum Cavalier in Willam Christensen's The Nutcracker, and in William Forsythe's Artifact II.
