KATHERINE LAWRENCE - Fairfield, Connecticut
Katherine began her ballet training at the Connecticut Dance School and furthered her training at The Harid Conservatory where she graduated as Valedictorian in 1998. She joined Ballet Internationale, Indianapolis in 1999, and quickly rose to the rank of Soloist. In 2004, Katherine joined Ballet West, was promoted to Demi-Soloist in 2005, and was again promoted to Soloist in 2007. She has also performed with The Universal Ballet of Korea, the Hartford Ballet, Dance Wisconsin and Peoria Ballet. In the summer of 2007, she appeared at Perry-Mansfield's New Works Festival where she performed in new choreography by Darrell Grand Moultrie.
Katherine's repertoire includes Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, the title role in Ben Stevenson's Cinderella, the Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen in Willam Christensen's The Nutcracker, Wendy in John McFall's Peter Pan, Constance in Andre Prokovsky's The Three Musketeers, the title role in The Fairy Doll, Don Quixote Act III Pas de Deux, Coppelia Act III Pas de Deux, Myrtha in Giselle, and principal roles in George Balanchine's Who Cares? and Serenade, Antony Tudor's Echoing of Trumpets, and Moultrie's Everlasting Heights, as well as soloist roles in Jonas Kage's Swan Lake, Cinderella, Eldar Aliev's A Thousand and One Nights, The Sleeping Beauty, Flemming Flindt's Phaedra, and Christopher Bruce's Ghost Dances.
