Joined Ballet West: 2011
Training: National Ballet School of Canada, Quinte Ballet School of Canada, and Houston Ballet Ben Stevenson's Academy, as well as Summer programs with Pacific Northwest Ballet, Banff Center for Dance, National Ballet School of Canada, and Boston Ballet.
Favorite Roles: "Myrtha" from Giselle, "Big Swan" in Stanton Welch's Swan Lake, and the Crazy Solo in Jiri Kylian's Falling Angels.
Honors and Awards: Performed Murcof at the Youth America Grand Prix Gala in 2008. Received the Sarah Chapin Langham Award at Youth America Grand Prix in 2008.
Additional Information: Katlyn has performed in many classical ballets by Stanton Welch, Swan Lake, Madame Butterfly, "Myrtha" with Boston Ballet, and many other classical ballets done by Ben Stevenson, Kenneth Oberly, and Christopher Fleming. She has also performed in many contemporary pieces and George Balanchine works such as Diamonds and Symphony in C. In addition to performing in the world premiere of Christopher Bruce's Grinning In Your Face with Houston Ballet, Katlyn has also performed in Jiri Kylian's Falling Angels (staged by Roslyn Anderson) and works by Christopher Wheeldon and Mark Morris.
